My violin of Ingres: the electro-acoustic technique. With Recital-Audio, I discovered a company with a passion for good sound, a timeless and balanced aesthetic, high quality craftsmanship and fair prices, far from the usual high-end marketing canons. The entire range of speakers is based on irreproachable technical concepts that are rarely, if ever, used by the competition. A telling example is the fact that for many years Alexandre Chamagne (Recital) and I have constantly exchanged on many technical aspects. Alexandre advised me on two projects that I was able to complete: two loudspeakers: one using a woven polypropylene loudspeaker that he pushed me to switch to 3-way instead of 2-way, with a complementary midrange with a metal membrane (very clear gain in definition); the other, a small 2-way developed by myself but with a tonal balance that was too high; no bad crossover, but a low-tuned bass-reflex system! His analysis of the sometimes subtle and complex technical issues was always relevant, even if at first glance it seemed surprising and at the margin of the established conventions. The price asked to carry out these 2 projects was not exaggerated, on the contrary. Moreover, in its range, the “Define” loudspeaker is the perfect example of its technical mastery embracing many fields of electroacoustics. The result is breathtaking in terms of timbre accuracy and tonal balance. Hats off to Alexandre!
